We seek an experienced HR professional to shape workplace culture and strategy in this new role reporting to the CEO. You’ll lead HR initiatives aligned with NPD’s goals and provide expert guidance on policies and practices.

The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced HR professional with a passion for fostering exceptional workplace culture. This newly created role reports directly to the CEO and is pivotal in shaping our people and culture strategy. You will lead the development, implementation, and management of HR solutions that align with NPD’s strategic goals, while providing expert advice on a broad range of HR policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Manage staff queries, handle disciplinary processes, and promote a positive workplace environment.
- Recruitment and Selection: Collaborate with department managers to oversee hiring processes and attract top talent.
- Compliance and Policy Development: Ensure company policies comply with NZ employment laws and evolve with business growth.
- Health and Safety: Work alongside the Health and Safety Manager to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
- Performance Management: Manage appraisal systems and conduct performance reviews to support employee development and maintain high standards.
- HR Processes and Documentation: Ensure HR processes and records keep pace with the company’s expansion and evolving objectives.
About You: We are looking for a people-focused leader who takes pride in developing talent and building engaging workplace cultures. You will bring:
- 5+ years of proven experience in a senior HR role.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, with in-depth knowledge of NZ employment laws and legislation.
- The ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with an eye for detail in crafting impactful communications.
- A proactive mindset, with a passion for driving change and innovation within the organisation.
